I was drowning—sleepless nights, racing thoughts, and dependent on zopiclone just to fall asleep. Arthritis, past surgeries, and constant anxiety weighed me down. My mental health was in shambles, and co-parenting with my ex, plus issues with my partner, only made it worse. I knew I needed help.
I turned to my employer and connected with a Nurse Coach. With regular coaching and email check-ins, I set clear health goals and tackled my struggles head-on. We focused on stress management, building self-love, and making lifestyle changes. We also got to the root of my mental health issues through anxiety and depression questionnaires.
I started making real changes. I cut back on screen time before bed, took up yoga, and got moving with walks and workouts. I focused on my relationships by spending quality time with family and friends, and got professional help through couples counseling and a dietitian. I also began the process of weaning off zopiclone with my doctor.
Now, I feel in control—stronger, more confident, and motivated to keep moving forward. It’s not easy, but I’m committed to better health and setting a positive example for my kids.
